The Ford Fusion has a choice of engines, 1.4i 16V (79bhp) the 1.6i 16V (99bhp) and the 1.4TDCi (67bhp) which delivers an epic 63mpg.

The Fusion is tall on the outside and big on the inside with a upright seating position which creates extra legroom in the front and back. Visibility is excellent and the optional roof-folding DVD player is well placed and doesn't effect rear visibility. The matt-finished dashboard is styled and durable enough to resist scratches and daily grind which is completed with aluminium air-vent surrounds and door handles.

The Ford Fusion has safety in mind with a respectable four-star Euro NCAP crash test rating helped by the reinforced side impact door beams and rigid body structure. The seats are fitted with anti-submarining ramps, to increase occupant safety by preventing passengers from sliding under their seatbelts in head on collisions. Security is good as all Fusion models come with remote central locking and an immobiliser.
